The Neighborgoods began in 2013 when Washington, DC graphic designer Jodi created a series of illustrated recipes while building her food and beverage design portfolio. Inspired by the drawings, she decided to turn them into screen-printed dish towels as holiday gifts for friends. After taking a screen-printing class and spending a year developing the idea, those handmade gifts became the beginning of The Neighborgoods.
What started with a single dish towel has since grown into a colorful collection of kitchen and home goods inspired by food and everyday life. From tea towels and Swedish dishcloths to pot holders, Jodi’s playful illustrations bring personality and humor to practical everyday essentials.
Still based in Washington, DC, The Neighborgoods remains a small, hands-on team, with each product carefully packaged in its studio. From original illustrations to cheerful everyday goods, the brand continues to reflect the creativity and personal touch of a business that began with a homemade holiday gift.
